The Office of Data and Analytics (D&A) is looking for a dynamic senior data engineer / data analyst to help Cisco power data.
We have a huge amount of information from Cisco’s enterprise dataset, and will help you provide data engineering and analytics solutions that will enable Cisco to be more data-driven to optimize its day-to-day tasks and strategy.
You’ll help make data models, data threading, data cleansing, and traditional and predictive analytics available and consumable in new ways, and in building a community of “data engineering and analytics advocates” across the company to ensure adoption Will help.

Work with multiple sophisticated data sets to accelerate operational and strategic data-oriented decision making.
Understand opportunities and business drivers to build insights and solutions for those through data.
Continuous personal development in a multidisciplinary, multidisciplinary environment.
Identify and prioritize business and technical requirements using agile methods.
Work with a variety of product owners, scrum masters, and development teams across different time zones.
Gain new insights to run data engineering projects to create various data sets for analytical use cases.
Learn and apply data science tools and techniques including Python, machine learning, and data visualization. Construction and enterprises own data sets.

Who are you
You have got experience in identifying a business problem and solving it through data driven insights.
Experience in building requirements to improve data aggregation for analytical purposes.
Experience in demonstrating, supporting and leading data engineering strategy, data warehousing, data integration and reports, ETL / ELT builds, and all aspects of data visualization.
Highly motivated, a self-starter and able to work in a fast environment.
You are a creative problem solver and highly collaborative teammate who is comfortable working as an SME and significant contributor on a matrix team and is able to navigate multiple cross-flow dependencies and diverse partner groups.
BS / MS or equivalent (Sophisticated degree preferred)
10+ years of full-time data engineering / analytics experience.
Must have very good hands-on experience working with BigData platforms, ETL / ELT technologies, CloudDB platforms (Snowflake), Informatica, SQL for Data Engineering and Data Science, and Python.
Able to take a concept or an idea and work through various stages all the way to execution and results.
Excellent analytical thinking and aptitude.
Experience leading data engineering / data migration projects.
Prioritized customer success, customer experience, product telemetry, finance domain knowledge.
Familiarity with the topics of advance analytics and machine learning.
Solid understanding in tableaux or similar data analytics and presentation tools.
Storytelling should be experienced with data in the form of visuals.
Certification in data engineering / data science is a plus.
Good written and oral communication skills, and translating data into comfortable presentations and understandable documents for executive level audiences.
